Series highlight: Caveman Aliens by Calista Skye

One of my favorite long-running science fiction romance series is Caveman Aliens by Calista Skye. Kidnapped human women find themselves on a savage jungle planet full of dinosaurs. There are tribes of all-male “cavemen” living on this planet and one by one the human ladies meet up with their duly appointed caveman for hot sex. The heroes are hunky strong men with soft hearts.

Caveman Aliens

In addition to dinosaurs, there are many other strange and dangerous things like exotic fauna, volcanoes, and a crashed spaceship. Later in the series, dragon shifters show up — the evil kind who want to enslave everyone and hoard all the gold. You know the type, arrogant and selfish. But of course, the love of a good human woman conquers all. May not apply in Real Lifeā„¢

If this sounds good to you, check out the series on Amazon and give Ms. Skye some love in the review section!

Music for that Romance Mood

I love love love songs with deep male voices and dark romantic themes. I’ve never really been a Goth but I dabble in the music, and have been known to dress in all black. Mostly because I have trouble matching my clothes and wearing everything in one color is easier.

Arcana’s cover of “Enigma of the Absolute” by Dead Can Dance

If you ever played Fall From Heaven mod on Civ 4, this song plays for Runes of Kilmorph (dwarf/earth element religion.) Arcana is a Swedish band, Dead Can Dance an 80s Australian band, both sort of Gothy.

Lyrics written by Brendan Michael Perry / Gus Ferguson / James E. Pinker / Lisa Germaine Gerrard / Peter Lawrence Ulrich / Scott Rodger

Saloman hung down her head, laid bare her heart
For the world to see, she craved for intimacy
Through darkened doors her aspect veiled with indecision
Gazed out to sea, she craved lucidity

Cast adrift from past relationships in her life
Hoisted up the ideal, this was her saving grace
Sea’s of rage that once assailed her concern for the truth
Had passed her by and left her high and dry
In her savior’s arms…

Across the sea lies the fountain of renewal
Where you will see the whole cause of your loneliness
Can be measured in dreams that transcend all these lies
And I wish and I pray that there may come a day
For a savior’s arms…

WIPs: Works in Progress

Currently I have four series in mind:

  • Ardent Warriors Unchained: Gladiators on planet Barya meet human women kidnapped from Earth’s first official colony on Proxima.
    • Claimed by the Alien Gladiator: done!
    • In progress: Taken by the Alien Gladiator. This will feature Suriat who has much more going on under the surface than you might think … and he’s going to “Revert” for his human mate. Among his people, the Smaragdine, there are myths of Returners, those who go back to the water and steal females to live with them.
    • Planned: stories for Gerakos and Slaga.
  • First Contact/Paradise: When a cult of humans is called to the stars, they wake up in orbit around a strange planet far from Earth. As Paxus Fleet ships arrive in orbit to investigate why primitive vessels are intruding on their sacred planet, male aliens are exposed to human women and the sparks fly all kinds of ways.
    • Book one in progress: 100k+ words. When aliens and humans meet for the very first time, featuring Khell, a Gold Ditakian who’s also a virgin, and Piper, a human woman kidnapped by a cult.
    • Book two? in progress: 50k+ words. A human woman and a copper Ditakian crash land on a forbidden, untamed planet. At first they think they’re enemies, but they must work together to survive.
  • Earth Experiments: When aliens officially make contact with Earth, human women are tricked into taking part in experiments on Reversion.
  • Myrmidon Invasion: Reverse harem with telepathy. I haven’t decided if they invade Proxima or Earth but I do know the Myrmidon warriors reverse-Revert, that is, they become more human-like after mating. In fact they are expected to die after impregnating their queen … but our human heroines will save them!
